Scope

This policy explains what information VidBud handles when you visit vidbud.io or use the VidBud platform, and why.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address and account settings.
• Authentication information: sign-in method (email and password, or Google sign-in) and session records. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form.
• Content you upload: product photos, logos, creator and reference images, reference videos, brand assets and other materials you add.
• AI generation inputs and outputs: product details, briefs, prompts, generated scripts, ad copy, concepts, images and videos, and related job records.
• Payment-related records: plan, subscription status, transaction and invoice records, and the outcome of payments. Card and payment credentials are handled by our payment providers, not by VidBud.
• Credit and usage records: credit balances, credit ledger entries and feature usage.
• Device and browser information: IP address, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from IP.
• Analytics and attribution: pages viewed, product events, UTM and campaign parameters, referral codes and cookies or similar local storage used for sessions, preferences and measurement.
• Affiliate and referral information: affiliate applications, referral attribution, commission and payout records.
• Support communications: messages you send us and our replies.

Why we process it

• To create and operate your account and keep it secure.
• To run research, generate creative and deliver the features you request.
• To process payments, subscriptions, credits and refunds.
• To provide support and respond to your requests.
• To measure, debug and improve the service, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.

Third-party processors and providers

We share information only with providers needed to deliver the service, under contract and only for that purpose. These include cloud hosting and database infrastructure, authentication, AI model and media generation providers, payment processors, email delivery, and analytics and advertising measurement (including the Meta pixel where enabled).

Content you submit for generation is transmitted to AI providers to produce your output. We do not sell your personal information. Some providers process data outside your country; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Retention

We keep account, content and generation records for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. Payment, accounting and tax records are retained for the periods required by law. Analytics and event data are kept for a limited period for measurement and debugging. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Security

Access to customer data is restricted, database access rules are enforced per account, and stored files are served through restricted, time-limited links. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update most account details in the product, and you can contact us to make a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as appearance mode, and measure traffic and attribution. You can control cookies in your browser; blocking some of them will break sign-in and other core features.

Children

VidBud is a business tool and is not intended for children. Do not use the service if you are under the age required to enter into a contract in your country.
